Fulfillment of the right to education for all children

Through this engagement is prepared a field research and a final document from collected data from the field for the number of children who are on a school age but are not included in schools. Moreover, the research is going to determined the reasons why these children are not included in school. - To prepare a field research: preparation of questionnaire for the respondents on the field, train interviewers to fill out the questionnaires on the field, collect and analyze the questionnaires and prepare a report. - To carry out activities (materials, meetings, interviews with appropriate persons), gather information and prepare a report on the legal framework and opportunities for education for these children to return to primary school. - To analyze the identified needs according to the field research of the legal framework and the education system, to determine the omissions or the needs for amending the legal framework, make recommendations and prepare a report. Conduct research in accordance with the National Strategy of the Roma in the Republic of Macedonia and the Decade of Roma in the fields of employment, housing, health, education and other sub-areas. Sustainable employment models for Roma

The overall goal of the project is to improve the skills for employment in the construction sector, the housing sector and energy efficiency. The main goal is to increase the potential for employment of the Roma population by increasing individual skills and facilitating access to the labor market. The Institute for Research and Policy Analysis - Romalitico was engaged in this project for the preparation of a study based on qualitative methods of analyzing the agreed predetermined criterion entitled "Sustainable Models for Employment of Roma". The study presents the perceptions of the final beneficiaries of the project and it is prepared including a gender perspective. More »

Marginalization and Ostracism of the Roma in the past and today

Joint Initiative for Strengthening Roma Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey

The goal of the project is to establish a constructive and systematic dialogue between local and national institutions and Roma civil society in order to improve Roma policies and their integration, social inclusion, non-discrimination, inter-ethnic dialogue, socio-economic development and civil rights. The overall goal of the project is to increase the capacity of (pro) Roma organizations working to improve the status of Roma in the Republic of Macedonia. The specific goal is to strengthen the positions at the local and national level of Roma Civic Organizations, as well as to improve their influence on policies that target Roma as a target group. Evaluation of the current situation of Roma women

Preparation of a survey to evaluate the current situation of Roma women in terms of unemployment, inclusion in the labor market and the use of active employment measures by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The research covered four cities: Tetovo, Kumanovo, Shtip and Prilep. Public and political participation of Roma women

The main goals of the project "Public and political participation of Roma women" are: · Improving the status of Roma women through their greater involvement in public and political life in the country, strengthening and supporting women; · Creating a favorable environment in political parties; · Increasing awareness among the general population, institutions and the business sector to overcome the barriers, in order to increase the inclusion of Roma women. The purpose of the research conducted by the Institute for Research and Policy Analysis - Romalitico is to present the situation of the number and positions of Roma women in political parties, state and public institutions. "Romalitico" developed the methodology for collecting data base and systematization and processing of data. More »
